A TradingView indicator and course
Price returns
to where it turned.
- Magnet theorynoun
- The idea that prior swing highs and lows hold resting orders, so price tends to react when it comes back to them. Those levels act like magnets: price is drawn to them, then either turns or breaks through.
The indicator draws those levels from confirmed swing points and tags a break when volume is behind it. The course covers what a tag cannot tell you: which breaks are worth trading.
The method
Levels, breaks, and judgment.
Prior swing highs and lows are where orders collect, which is why price tends to react at them. The indicator handles the first two parts of the method. The third is the trader’s.
01. Levels
Support and resistance are drawn from confirmed swing points using a fixed number of bars on each side. The same chart always produces the same levels.
02. Breaks
A break is tagged only when volume clears a set threshold. Breaks without participation are left unmarked, which removes most of the noise.
03. Discretion
A tagged break is information, not an instruction. Whether to act on it depends on context, timing and location, and that is what the course teaches.
On the chart
Three things the indicator shows you.
Confirmed break
Price closes through a level and volume clears the threshold. The break is tagged BREAK.
Unconfirmed break
Price trades through a level on light volume. No tag is drawn, and the level stays on the chart.
Wick on the break
The break candle leaves a long wick against the move. The indicator flags it, because the break may not hold.
Pivot length and the volume threshold are adjustable, so the indicator can be tuned to the market and timeframe you trade.
The indicator
What it does, and what it does not.
Does
- Draws support and resistance from confirmed swing points
- Tags breaks that clear a volume threshold
- Flags break candles with significant wicks
- Lets you set pivot length and threshold
Does not
- Tell you to buy or sell
- Predict whether a break will hold
- Replace judgment at the level

FAQ
Questions
How is the indicator delivered?
After purchase you receive the source code by email, with a guide for pasting it into TradingView’s Pine Editor and adding it to a chart.
Does it repaint?
No. A level appears only after the bars on both sides of the swing point have closed, and it does not move after that. With “Signal on bar close only” on, BREAK and WICK tags print when the bar closes and do not disappear. While a bar is forming, tentative BREAK? and WICK? tags can appear and change; only the tag left at the close is final.
Which markets does it work on?

Can I share the code?

Is this financial advice?
No. The indicator and course are educational tools. Trading decisions and their outcomes are your own.
